Ontario Program

Installation Overview for Ontario Producers

The first rollout was completed in December, 2006. The second rollout is underway and is expected to be finished in April, 2007.

What will happen as the installation date draws closer?

A representative of Dairy Cheq will contact you to confirm your order, confirm and explain the options available with the DairyCheq MilkGuard and arrange an installation time according to the Rollout schedule.

It is important for the Producer or someone knowledgeable about the farm to be available at the time of installation in order to receive the on-farm training the accompanies the installation.

What will happen on my installation day?

An installation crew from Dairy Cheq will arrive at the pre-arranged date to install the DairyCheq MilkGuard and sensors on your farm. The installation time will no doubt vary from farm to farm but will take at least three hours.

The Producer will pay a flat installation fee for the installation, regardless of the actual time it takes. There may be an additional material charge.

Once the installation is complete, you will receive your training, and the documentation for payment will be collected by the Dairy Cheq installers and will be submitted to the Dairy Farmers of Ontario for payment via your monthly milk cheque.

Please refer to your Information Package for further information.

What if I decide to purchase a DairyCheq MilkGuard after the Rollout is done in my area?

It is important to remember that the Dairy Farmers of Ontario negotiated a province-wide volume order on your behalf assuming the Rollout progresses in an efficient manner through the Province.

If you decide to purchase a DairyCheq MilkGuard after the Rollout was completed in your area, additional charges for installation will apply and the $400.00 grant available under the Ontario Healthy Futures Program will not be available.

Please refer to your Information Package for further information.

Any DairyCheq MilkGuard purchased after the Rollout is completed in the Province will be subject to prices available at that time.
